Terms and Conditions

Pet Paradiso Pet Styling Terms and Conditions.

All clients must read and agree to the disclaimer before grooming begins.



  • Before an appointment is agreed owners are required to agree to our terms and conditions.
  • By committing to an appointment via the booking system you have agreed to our terms and conditions.
  • A booking reservation fee of £20 is charged prior to a groom and is non-refundable. The amount is deducted from the final price of the groom. Heavily matted or aggressive animals  where the groom is not attempted, will not be refunded . No shows will also not be refunded.
  • Where a no show has occurred, customers are required to pay the full amount of the groom missed before a new appointment is issued. Additionally, the  customer will also be required to pay a booking reservation fee of £20.
  • If cancellations are made after the 48 hours deadline then they are considered no shows and charged accordingly.
  • For the safety of our staff and your pet, Pet Paradiso require the owner to disclose when booking if your pet exhibits difficult or aggressive behaviour. This is to prevent injury to staff and pets.
  • No liability will be accepted by Pet Paradiso if your pet is injured as a result of aggressive or difficult behaviour.
  • No liability will be accepted by Pet Paradiso if a health condition is uncovered or aggravated by any part of the grooming process. We endeavour to notify you of anything we uncover whilst grooming.
  • All  grooming prices are based on a dog coming to the salon on a 6 to 8 week basis and on the condition of their coat. Dogs not groomed on this schedule will be required to pay extra.
  • An additional cost will be incurred for any pets that require knot or matted coat removal.  This incurs additional costs because it is  a time-consuming process requiring expertise so as not to injure the animal, it also dulls equipment. Any additional products used in knot removal will be charged for.
  • Fleas incur an additional cost as  we have to fumigate the whole salon to prevent fleas from settling or spreading. We reserve the right to stop a groom if an infestation is detected.
  • We do not pluck ears for dogs but clip the hairs shorter instead.
  • We do not express anal glands
  • Please make sure all dogs are well walked and given ample opportunity to toilet before coming to their pet grooming appointment. Additional fees will be incurred for defecating and urinating where this has obviously not happened.
  • All appointments made online are requests and will be agreed by Pet Paradiso. We will endeavour to agree to the time and date where possible.
  • Top ups for Teeth Cleaning, 20 minutes for the whole mouth, must be carried out within 12 weeks of the previous appointment. Top ups are only applicable when the whole mouth is deemed as fully clean by our professional team.
  • Please read the privacy Policy below which outlines our GDPR (Data Protection) policy.
  • We reserve the right to take and use pictures of your pet for social media, advertising and education. If you do not wish pictures of your pet to be used for these purposes, you must notify us at the time of your appointment.




Matting Policy

  

Under the Animal Welfare Act 2006, all animals must be protected from pain, disease, injury and suffering. 

Matting or tight knots in your pet’s coat can cause irritation, infections and hot spots. This will require your animal’s coat to be ‘clipped off’. This is uncomfortable for the pet being groomed and requires extra time and skill by the groomer to ensure the coat is removed carefully and without causing injury. 

Although, we take the upmost care, the possibility of injury still exists. By leaving your pet with us to be groomed/clipped off you acknowledge that you are aware of the condition of the coat, the possibility of irritation and infections (fungal/bacterial) hidden by the existence of matting. Clipping off is stressful for your pet as it requires long periods of standing and the requirement to remain still. Animals will resort to nipping or biting to try to avoid the uncomfortable experience. 

At Pet Paradiso, we are not responsible for any injuries sustained due to the condition of your pet’s coat.

Our prices are based on six to eight weekly spaced grooms, where the animal is brushed and combed through. In some cases sooner if you have a long haired, wool coated or silky coated animal. 

Matting will incur extra charges to the groom as it takes longer than the time allocated, requires extra patience and skill and blunts and damages equipment. 

We reserve the right to not complete but still charge for clip offs if your pet is distressed or the matting is too tight to the skin.

Where matting is joined and would be a risk of injury to the animal, we reserve the right to refuse to groom . 

Cancellation Policy

  


If you want to cancel an appointment, please contact us 48 hours before your appointment to avoid a fee. If you do not attend an appointment, you will be required to pay in full for the groom before you can book another groom and you will be required to pay a deposit for the next groom.

If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, your groom will be cancelled as we will not have enough time to complete the groom and you will incur a fee.

Sending a message to our support team

When you contact us for support by telephone or through our website by e-mail, we collect the data you have given in order to reply with the information you have requested. We do not store your information on record once we have responded to you. If you respond to a support ticket your information will then reappear on our database for anywhere from 1 to 7 days.

Via our support team we do not store information even if you start a course or become a customer based on your support contact information. We may look for deleted support tickets as a reference if needed.

Information relating to your method of payment

Payment information is always taken in a secure process using Lo Pay cardless machine. Details are never recorded or repeated in front of other persons. Payments taken by us or transferred to us either through our website or otherwise are accepted through monitored and controlled system. Our employees and contractors never have access to it.

At the point of a website payment you are transferred to a secure page or through our online outlets, such as PayPal, World Pay or another reputable payment service provider. That page may be branded to look like a page on our website, but it is not controlled by us.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service

If you are not happy with our privacy policy or have a complaint then you should notify us either by phone or an initial email. Our email address is petparadisosalon@gmail.com.

If for any reason you are unhappy with the results of your groom, this must be brought to my attention within 24hrs and I will endeavour  to resolve the issue, the cat must be returned within 1 week for any amendments.

If a dispute is not settled then we hope you will agree to attempt to resolve it by engaging in good faith with us in a process of mediation or arbitration.

If you are in any way dissatisfied about how we process your personal information, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. This can be done at https://ico.org.uk/concerns/
